Barber's Hill Run, Llangollen (8.9 km)

Barber’s Hill rises directly above Llangollen — a wooded slope with a mast on top and views across the Dee Valley to Castell Dinas Bran and the hills beyond. This 8.9 km circular run climbs to the top and drops back via the valley floor and the river. With roughly 300 metres of climbing, it is a proper hill session rather than a towpath jog.

- Start: Llangollen, near the town centre and railway station
- End: Llangollen (circular)
- Distance: About 8.9 km (5.5 miles)
- Terrain: Woodland paths, field tracks, and some road sections — a sustained climb to the mast with steep descents on the return; can be slippery after rain or frost
The main tracks are easy to follow, but the upper woodland sections fork and the field paths on the descent need attention — rabbit holes and mud make the going uneven. The final stretch follows the River Dee back towards town.
