Holyhead Coastal Hike, Anglesey (19 km)

This 19 km loop leaves Holyhead along the clifftops at the western tip of Anglesey, drops down to South Stack lighthouse, then follows the south coast back around. It is a full day of wind, sea views, and very little shade.

- Start: Holyhead town centre
- End: Holyhead (circular)
- Distance: About 19 km (12 miles)
- Terrain: Coastal footpaths with cliff-edge sections, steep steps down to South Stack, and some road walking near town
Easy to follow in clear weather, but the cliffs are exposed and the path can be muddy after rain. Allow time for the South Stack steps — the descent and climb back up are the hardest part of the day. Bring sunscreen; there is almost no tree cover anywhere on the loop.
