Phoenix Park Run, Dublin (7 km)

Phoenix Park is a huge walled park right on Dublin’s doorstep, with deer roaming the fields and a tall stone monument visible from half the route. This flat 7 km loop follows the main paths and is one of the best city runs I have done.

- Start: Near the park entrance at Parkgate Street / Heuston side
- End: Circular — returns to the start
- Distance: About 7.2 km (4.5 miles)
- Terrain: Paved paths and hard-packed tracks; almost entirely flat with gentle undulations
Easy to follow — the park wall and the big landmarks give you constant reference points. Paths are shared with cyclists and walkers, so keep an eye out near the zoo and the main avenue crossing. You are almost certain to see deer along the way.
